I love how thorough the program is — grade level standard work, challenge work, and then problem solving questions. My child feels a lot more confident in math class at school because of her Singapore math class.

LEVELS

Grade-specific classes for every math level

Elementary (K-5)

At the heart of Singapore math is problem solving. Students apply higher-order math skills to logic reasoning and solve challenging problems. By 4th/5th Grade, students can grasp complex concepts, building on their strong foundational years in conceptual and computational fluency.

Middle School (6-8)

In middle schools, the Singapore Math curriculum focuses on sound understanding of the concepts behind the procedures, the usefulness and connections between the topics, and mathematically thinking processes such as logical reasoning, thinking skills, applications and modeling

High School (9-12)

Our new high school summer classes focus on preparing students for the demands of the high school curriculum. Students review concepts, clarify their doubts and look ahead to typical advanced topics covered in their upcoming school year.

Singapore Math

What is Singapore Math

Singapore Math is a general term to describe the math instruction designed by Singapore’s Ministry of Education. In order to prepare for a high quality workforce, the government invested heavily in schools, curriculum research and teacher preparatory. Countries around the world first took notice of the Singapore Math approach when its students topped in international examinations such as the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in the 90s. Key strengths of Singapore Math includes logic reasoning, early algebraic thinking, balanced math curriculum, strong visualization, modeling, problem solving and challenging math tasks.

What parent say

We like the balance of curriculum and problem solving, the amount of homework is perfect, teachers are excellent, the Singapore Math curriculum complements the local curriculum well, smaller class size is very good. Also, Kar Hwee cares a lot and gets to know the students personally; that makes a big difference as well. Thank you!
